Ideal Sai Youth, Messengers of Sai Love

Spanish Painter Pablo Picasso had envisioned Youth as a state of mind that has no bearing with age.  He wrote: Youth has no age.  Anything that is defined as having no bearing with time should be most vibrant, potent and creative and to be attributed to have a touch of effulgence.  It is this vibrancy, potency and creativity suffused with effulgence of the Youth of the day that Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba has been tirelessly streamlining to shape a new world order.  His unequivocal effort to train the youth of today to build a new World Order propelling and projecting cardinal human values comes as no surprise as the enigmatic spiritual persona has always been walking a path identified as “My Life is My Message” imparting greater lessons to humanity. With a world so full and so deluding from materialistic point and a persona so full and so vibrant walking and talking, guiding and peering humanity on earth, the youth of today are undoubtedly privileged to leave their marks, following His Footprints by leading an exemplary life idealising none other than the Only Idol who has chosen to walk the planet Earth, in their endeavour to build a New World Order.

The three-day World Conference of Sai Youth organised by the Sathya Sai World Foundation gets underway in Prasanthi Nilayam on the 26th of July. This is the third conference of its kind happening under the auspices of Sri Sathya Sai Organisations–worldwide. The first two were held in the years 1997 and 1999. The objective of this conference is to inspire and guide Sai Youth to serve society while gaining a deeper understanding of Bhagawan’s teachings.

Who is an Ideal Sai Youth? …And what is the role of this Ideal Sai Youth in the society today? Answer to this comes in the form of this ensuing third world conference of Sai Youth with the theme “Ideal Sai Youth, Messengers of Sai Love”.

Bhagawan's life has been an exemplarily ideal one, an open book for anyone to follow showing the world the importance of “practice before precept”.  But, how does one become an Ideal Sai Youth? Bhagawan’s own life during His youth is a great example for the youth of today to mark and follow. Young Sathya was an Ideal Son; a great role model for selfless love and compassion; an embodiment of humility; an ideal leader for His friends. The onus is now on the youth to follow suit, emulating the great life in practice by remodeling His famous slogan to “Our Life is His Message”.

I want you to be leaders to protect the world. Leaders like lions, self-reliant, courageous, majestic and just. Lion is the king of animals and I want you to be king among menechoed Bhagawan to students during the inaugural address of Summer Course in 1992.  Apart from the thousands of delegates from various parts of globe, students from the three campuses of Sri Sathya Sai University would also be participating in the three day conference. Considering the fact that His students were the most privileged folk in the Saga of Avatar’s Journey on Earth, their participation would give the conference a greater fillip as these brand ambassadors of a promising tomorrow would be definitely unearthing valued treasure of their close proximity with the Lord that they have been privileged to enjoy as students of the unique Sathya Sai University.

What do these vibrant, determined youth of the world, who are gearing up for the big occasion aim at focussing to achieve? They say, “Our goal is to become Ideal Sai Youth, Messengers of Sai Love to help light the lamp of love in the heart of humanity, to help awaken the Divinity inherent in humankind and to bring the world together as one family under the Fatherhood of God”.

Bhagawan Sri Krishna’s words in the song celestial Bhagavad Gita, “Dharmasamsthapanaarthaaya Sambhavami Yuge Yuge”, meaning  “For the establishment of righteousness on a firm footing, I incarnate from age to age” has been fulfilled by Bhagawan. Now, with the Lord walking the earth in human frame and the Youth of today being privileged to enjoy the Lord’s fullest attention, the onus lies on the Youth to follow His footprints joining hands in His Greater Mission in establishing righteousness on a firm footing.

Youth is beautiful and it gleams with exuberant charm, echoed an eighteenth century American Poet. Move on…The Youth of the day is extremely privileged. Prasanthi would vouchsafe it…
